Job summary

Crossroads YMCA in Crown Point, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice to support facility operations across YMCA properties. You will work with experienced Maintenance Technicians to install, repair, and inspect equipment and systems, while promoting safety and risk management.

Starting pay is $12.50 per hour, commensurate with experience. The role offers hands-on training, opportunities to become a Maintenance Technician, and a chance to serve youth and families in our community.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related experience preferred.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED & First Aid.
• New Employee Orientation and online trainings required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively to diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Works with assigned Maintenance Technician to maintain, install, and repair facility equipment, systems, and components.
• Learn to diagnose malfunctions and take corrective actions.
• Maintain grounds upkeep and proper storage of equipment.
