YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician III at the Irsay YMCA in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves designated repairs, minor equipment maintenance, and safe operation of cleaning chemicals and small machines.

Key tasks include supporting the Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing projects, training staff, and conducting weekly safety checks. Bilingual candidates are a plus in a diverse community setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma, or its equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Must be able to acquire First Aid certifications.
• Completion of all position specific YMCA training within deadlines.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor equipment maintenance and manual labor as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Department Director.
• Oversees special projects assigned by the Association Director of Buildings and Property as needed.
• Trains or provides guidance to other Center Maintenance staff on assigned projects.
• Assists maintenance, buildings & grounds staff in weekly equipment and safety checks.
• Performs minor equipment maintenance and repair and moves equipment and heavy objects as needed.
• Performs other duties and assignments as needed at the YMCA.

The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for the designated repairs, duties and minor equipment maintenance. This may include working with cleaning chemicals, small machines, maintenance and related equipment.

• Performs minor equipment maintenance and manual labor as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Department Director.
• May oversee special projects assigned by the Association Director of Buildings and Property.
• May train or provide guidance to other Center Maintenance staff teams on assigned projects.
• Assist Maintenance, Buildings & Grounds staff in conducting weekly equipment and safety checks.
• Minor equipment maintenance and repair and moving equipment and heavy objects from one location to another as needed.
• Perform other duties and assignments as needed at the YMCA.
