Job summary

SCHLUTER SYSTEMS L.P. invites skilled facilities maintenance personnel to join our team in Texas. The role involves assisting the Facilities Manager with daily upkeep, completing routine maintenance, and handling basic repairs.

You will troubleshoot electrical systems, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic components, while supporting safety initiatives and vendor coordination. We expect 2–3 years of relevant experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and a readiness to work flexible hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in facilities maintenance disciplines (HVAC, EPA) is preferred.
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience in maintenance or facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Manager and peers with daily maintenance tasks and special projects.
• Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance and basic repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, racking, cranes, conveyors, and equipment.
• Operate and maintain hydraulics and pneumatics; assist with inventory control.
• May work after hours or weekends and respond to alarms as needed.
• Represent Schluter Systems professionally with internal staff and external vendors.

Description

Job Summary:

This position will report directly to the Facilities Manager, will assist manager and peers with daily maintenance duties, special projects, etc., teamwork is essential. Provides general and detailed maintenance either with direct or indirect supervision, basic plumbing and other repair/replacement work as required. Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Champion for Safety and implementing safe practices
• Working knowledge and experience with various electrical systems
• Troubleshoot racking, crane, electric systems, components and conveyors
• Performs and documents run cycles on critical equipment
• Maintain critical equipment and their functions including BMS systems
• Diagnose and repair equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance in the facility
• Maintain hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fire suppression systems
• Perform custodial and cleaning functions if necessary
• Knowledge of VFD (Variable Frequency Drives). Ability to program, replace, troubleshoot.
• Assist with inventory control for building maintenance items / supplies
• All around general maintenance duties including basic plumbing knowledge preferred
• May be called upon perform tasks after hours and / or on weekends as needed. Including responding to alarm calls.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Represent Schluter Systems in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner in all matters.

Requirements

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant work experience
• Experience with mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical preferred
• Familiar with industrial cleaning practices.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license
• Good communication skills required for interaction with internal staff as well as external vendors and contractors.
• Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to use various power and hand tools
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements
• Good attendance is required
