Job summary

Gentex is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to help monitor and maintain production and support facilities in Michigan. You will perform a wide range of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, monitor building elements, and assist with related projects to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in facilities maintenance or construction, understand building elements, and can obtain hi-lo and man-lift certifications.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1-3 years experience in Facilities Maintenance or construction.
• Knowledge and understanding of building elements required.
• Understanding of furniture systems and its installation is useful.
• Ability to obtain hi-lo and man-lift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of scheduled and unscheduled Facilities Maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and repair building elements i.e. door, ceilings, floor coverings, lighting etc., and assist with related projects.
• Basic troubleshooting of facilities equipment.
• General grounds and snow removal duties.
• Perform emergency support tasks in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Security and Housekeeping as needed.
• Assist in furniture installation and relocation.
