Job summary

Accelera is seeking a versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our Windsor, CT campus safe, efficient, and well-maintained through hands-on mechanical work. You will perform repairs across plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical tasks; conduct preventive maintenance; and document activities to support quality management and operation continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, construction, or related trade.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (walking, lifting, heights).
• Strong commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Execute general building repairs including plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections to minimize downtime.
• Manage grounds upkeep and property maintenance for a safe environment.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and develop practical solutions with limited docs.
• Operate heavy equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts) as needed and trained.
• Document activities and repairs per quality management standards.
• Coordinate workspace reconfigurations and equipment installations.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and keep work areas hazard-free.

• Execute general building repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical tasks to maintain facility integrity.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Manage grounds upkeep and property maintenance to provide a professional and safe environment for all staff.
• Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues independently, developing practical solutions when technical documentation is limited.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts to support facility projects and warehouse logistics.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs in compliance with quality management standards.
• Coordinate with the facilities team to execute workspace reconfigurations and equipment installations.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure work areas are organized and hazard-free.

Qualifications
