Job summary

Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff. You will perform routine tasks, inspections, and assist in preparing rooms and common areas for occupancy.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to lift and stand for extended periods, contributing to smooth facility operations in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• minimum years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
• level of education in a related field (e.g. technical school, vocational program)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to placeholder for weight limit pounds and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC repairs
• Conduct inspections of the facility to identify and address potential safety hazards or maintenance needs
• Assist in the preparation of patient rooms and common areas for occupancy
• Operate and maintain various equipment and machinery, including but not limited to: lifts, wheelchairs, and medical devices
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including regular reporting and documentation
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care
