Job summary

A high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years related experience are expected, plus an Arizona Driver's License and DPS Fingerprint Clearance eligibility. The job involves plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry tasks, lifting up to 75 pounds, and outdoor/indoor work under varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repair of plumbing systems including replacing fixtures and fixing water lines.
• Maintain heaters and air conditioning units including belts, motors, relays, thermostats, pumps, fuses, transformers, filters and fans.
• Replace electrical outlets, light fixtures, ballasts, install time clocks for lights, and check photocells on lights.
• Move equipment and furniture; perform minor repairs to shelves and furniture and build simple fixtures.
• Paint furniture and rooms; may perform routine grounds maintenance.
• Operate power tools, tractor, and dump truck; basic repair of tools and equipment.
