Job summary

Avila Golf & Country Club in Tampa, FL is seeking a reliable Facility Maintenance Technician to keep club buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained for members and guests. You’ll work hands-on across painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance.

The role requires independent work, a strong work ethic, and a team-player attitude in a private, year-round club environment with weekends and holidays expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility/building maintenance or related fields preferred.
• Comfort with basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry and HVAC.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and remain detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service multiple buildings and facilities throughout the property.
• Perform painting, drywall repairs, and general building maintenance.
• Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Perform basic carpentry and repair work.
• Assist with basic HVAC maintenance.
• Operate pressure washers and perform pressure washing as needed.

Position Overview

Now Hiring Facility Maintenance Technician

Avila Golf & Country Club | Tampa, FL$35–$45 Per Hour | Full-Time | Year-Round

Avila Golf & Country Club, one of Tampa’s premier private country clubs, is looking for a reliable and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team!

This is a hands‑on role responsible for keeping our club buildings and facilities safe, functional, clean, and well‑maintained for our members, guests, and team. If you’re someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys solving problems, and can work independently, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and service multiple buildings and facilities throughout the property

• Perform painting, drywall repairs, and general building maintenance

• Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs

• Perform basic carpentry and repair work

• Assist with basic HVAC maintenance

What We’re Looking For

• Previous facility maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or general maintenance experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Comfortable performing basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and HVAC

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and safe work practices

• Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented

• Professional attitude and strong work ethic

• Ability to work well as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, and reaching

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

• Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors

• Strong attention to detail

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, year-round position
