Job summary

Variosystems LLC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Southlake, TX. This full-time position will support daily facility maintenance and repairs, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

The technician will perform a variety of tasks including inspections, minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and maintenance of common areas. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in learning facility maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance and inspections on facility equipment.
• Maintain production, warehouse, dock, parking lot, and common areas.
• Assist with furniture and equipment moves, event setup, and breakdown.
• Escort and coordinate with vendors and contractors while onsite.
• Restock breakrooms, restrooms, and facility supplies as needed.
• Make local deliveries and pickups throughout the DFW area using a company vehicle.
• Document maintenance activities and work orders in the CMMS.

Position Overview

The Facilities Technician supports the daily maintenance, safety, and overall upkeep of the facility. This role performs routine preventive maintenance, basic repairs, facility inspections, and general support to help maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and repairs.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance and inspections on facility and operational equipment.
• Maintain production, warehouse, dock, parking lot, and common areas.
• Assist with furniture and equipment moves, event setup/teardown, and other facility projects.
• Escort and coordinate with vendors and contractors while onsite.
• Restock breakrooms, restrooms, and facility supplies as needed.
• Make local deliveries and pickups throughout the DFW area using a company vehicle.
• Assist with weather-related facility preparations and other maintenance needs.
• Document maintenance activities and work orders in the CMMS.
• Perform other facilities-related duties as assigned.

• Ability to participate in after-hours/on-call support as needed.
• Ability to complete required safety and OSHA-related training.
• The ability to read, understand and communicate In English.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform hands-on maintenance activities throughout the workday.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when needed.
• Ability to move furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials.
