Job summary

Granite School District seeks a General Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance and minor repairs across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, electronics, painting and grounds in district facilities. The role requires staying responsive to emergencies and assisting various trades as needed.

Qualifications

Must have basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, electronics, HVAC, painting and grounds.
Must have knowledge and experience in building ventilation and air filtering.
Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, meters, ladders, man lift, scaffolding, power washer, and order needed supplies.
Must work well with others and follow safety codes including OSHA, EPA, MSDS and ADA.
Must have basic mathematical and communication skills.
Must plan work and organize materials and equipment for projects.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and minor repairs in district facilities across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, electronics and grounds.
Attend to emergencies and assist trades when needed.
Manage inventory of tools and supplies and ensure timely procurement.
Maintain attendance, timeliness and safety in all tasks.
