Job summary

Granite School District seeks a skilled maintenance carpenter foreman to supervise apprentices and hourly workers in the Carpentry Department. You will ensure proper materials, tools and a safe work environment while completing framing, cabinet work, and repairs on school facilities.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and coordinating with vendors to deliver high-quality projects on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two full years of formal education as prescribed by Granite School District apprenticeship.
• Must keep abreast of changing developments in techniques in relevant fields.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs rough and finish carpentry including cabinet work.
• Installs and repairs wood and metal doors.
• Hangs marker boards, corkboards, banners, plaques, etc.
• Repairs roofs and related structures.
• Creates and maintains a safe, clean work environment.
• Coordinates with vendors on projects.
• Plans work to ensure high-quality finished projects.
