Job summary

SHORE UP! Inc. is seeking a reliable facilities maintenance worker to keep our buildings safe, clean, and presentable for program activities. You will handle daily upkeep and coordinate with outside vendors when needed to maintain all spaces.

Requirements include 5+ years in maintenance, basic carpentry/plumbing/electrical skills, ability to read instructions, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. High school diploma or GED with related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have five (5) years of maintenance/repair experience.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical work.
• Willing to participate in in-service training in maintenance.
• Able to read, interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of building, plumbing and electrical supply vendors.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Daily clean-up: vacuum, mop, sanitize, and polish all areas.
• Weekly cleaning: sanitize bathrooms/kitchen, dust surfaces, wipe fixtures.
• Periodic & As Needed: replace light bulbs as required.
• Monthly: change air filters and clean stove hoods/front of kitchen appliances.
• Six-Month: strip and wax tile floors and wash air vent grilles.
