Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting general facility maintenance, repairs, and improvements to production equipment and property structures. The Facility Maintenance Technician will conduct routine maintenance checks, track spare parts inventory, and document all repairs, including the reasons and corrective actions taken. Maintaining historical records of equipment repairs is a key aspect of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement MEI Preventive Maintenance Plan.
• Identify specific inspections and maintenance activities for production equipment.
• Research production equipment instructions/manuals to support inspections and repairs.
• Develop and implement inspection and repair procedures (electronically) for each production equipment and facility repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance department.
• Adhere to safety standards according to Miller Edge Health & Safety Regulations.
• Tour the production floor weekly to identify safety issues and communicate with management/safety manager.
• Prioritize maintenance requests based on production needs.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong electrical skills required to diagnose and repair equipment, motors, relays, etc., and building fixtures.
• Plumbing skills to repair leaky faucets and snake clogged plumbing when needed.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Detail-oriented.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate electrical equipment and hand tools.
• Focus on quality control and safety.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard with visual acuity.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma.
• Diverse technical skills including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial machines.
• Ability to operate a Bridgeport Milling Machine.
• Valid Driver’s License to operate a box truck.
• Ability to operate production equipment, machines, specialty tools, computers, and printers.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Reliable, self-motivated with some manufacturing experience.
