Job description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician works in the Maintenance Department to perform facility-related maintenance and minor repairs.

Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 7AM-3:30PM.

Pay is $22.67 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cleans and paints the facility.
  • Responsible for 5S tasks throughout the facility, such as cleaning machine cells when down and shadow boards.
  • Operates and maintains floor cleaning equipment, such as floor sweepers and scrubbers, and maintains floor drains and sumps.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of warehouse racking.
  • Maintains facility lighting.
  • Fixes minor plumbing problems, such as unclogging drains and repairing leaks.
  • Performs carpentry projects, including door and trim replacement.
  • Performs minor HVAC service and repairs.
  • Conducts routine ladder and rigging inspections.
  • Assists maintenance employees with various projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Communicates effectively with employees and management to resolve facility-related tasks.
  • Uses work order systems to prioritize and document tasks.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of related experience or training.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and sketches.
  • Familiarity with symbols used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.
  • Willingness to use electronic devices for machinery evaluation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work alone and in teams, ensuring safety and timely completion of tasks.
Skills:

Proficient in reading, writing, verbal communication, and comprehension in English. Able to present information effectively at all organizational levels.

Mathematical Skills:

Equivalent to skills required under degree requirements.
