The Facilities Manager will manage the maintenance staff, maintain and oversee the plant and office buildings, equipment and grounds to ensure that the workspace is functional and safe. Responsibilities include basic repairs, negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet cleanliness standards and safety regulations, and coordinating renovations and updates. This role will report to VP Production.

  • Manage maintenance and custodial staff
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, shrubbery, and outdoor recreation spaces
  • Contract with and inspect daily janitorial services to keep the building’s interior attractive and hygienic.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning and landscaping on the premises, making repairs as needed
  • Schedule non-routine and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Maintain security systems for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors
  • Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions
  • Collaborate with upper management on budgeting for the facility’s needs and make recommendations for becoming more efficient.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electric and other building systems
  • Experience with boilers and certificate of competency or willingness to obtain it
  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
  • Ability to drive personal vehicle between locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of management, associates, and vendors.
  • Great time management, organization and prioritization abilities
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
  • Ability to move, lift, bend, squat, stand as needed for maintenance repairs
  • Ability to write reports using Microsoft Suite

Regular shift:

7:00 am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday
