A leading company in facilities management is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including HVAC systems maintenance, plumbing, and electrical work. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain building functionality. This role requires effective communication and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, locksmithing, and painting to maintain building functionality.
Under the supervision of the Sr. Facilities Technician-HVAC, conduct routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, diagnose issues, and recommend repairs.
Assist with moving and adjusting office furniture, including desks, chairs, and files.
Support roof maintenance by inspecting conditions and cleaning gutters and drains.
Participate in the parking lot lighting program by installing and repairing lamps, ballasts, and covers. Repair locking systems on doors, files, cabinets, and lockers.
Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Assist with building maintenance contracts, processing repair requests, and coordinating service work.
Inspect facilities, buildings, and grounds to identify routine maintenance needs, prioritize repairs, and plan renovations.
Ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other safety regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical plans.
Work independently without supervision, following oral and written instructions clearly.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and contacts.
Requisition supplies, materials, and equipment; monitor inventory levels; load and unload supplies.
Load and deliver furniture and equipment for special events.
Perform other related duties as required.
