Qualifications

• Requires a HS diploma and 5 years’ work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Requires a valid driver’s license. Requires eligibility for tribal insurance coverage.
• Requires a background clearance and required to maintain clearance throughout employment.
• Requires a working knowledge of tools, materials, processes, and techniques of routine maintenance.
• Requires reading and writing skills to record readings, interpret maps/blueprints, and prepare activity reports.
• Requires ability to operate hand and power tools, riding lawn mower, forklift, mini snowplow, side-by-side and repair tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists with inspection of buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.
• Assists with minor electrical maintenance including replacement or repair of fixtures.
• Assists with minor plumbing maintenance including leaks and unclogging.
• Assists with minor painting, carpentry and masonry work.
• Reconfigures, installs, and remounts modular offices and space to maximize office space.
• Prepares surfaces and paints structures and equipment to preserve parts and ensure safe environment.
• Lawn care maintenance: mowing, trimming, weeding.
• Snow removal: shoveling sidewalks, parking lots and building.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and other areas.
• Order parts and maintain required documents.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
