Mystic Healthcare, a 100-bed family-owned skilled nursing facility in Mystic, Connecticut, is hiring a Maintenance Assistant. Join our team to help maintain the facility, grounds, and systems to ensure safe, clean operations for residents and staff.

The role involves following schedules, performing routine maintenance, and addressing repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical aspects, with opportunities for professional growth and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Ability to speak and write English clearly and understandably.
• Able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds and carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow maintenance schedule and policies from supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, driveways, and related areas.
• Repair facility systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical as directed.
• Clean windows and replace bulbs as needed.
• Service heating and cooling units per manufacturer and procedures.
• Complete unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
