Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Ability to read inspection reports and prepare written findings.
• Understanding of safety and quality requirements for trades.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and repairs to buildings, facilities, and equipment using trade techniques, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Conducts inspections on structural components of buildings, electrical systems and equipment, plumbing systems, automatic sprinkler systems, and fixtures.
• Prepares reports of inspections, corrected deficiencies, and required repairs.
• Operates heavy hand tools and power equipment to perform and complete tasks, such as mowing, digging ditches/trenches, grading and sloping, clearing small trees and bushes, etc.
• Loads, unloads, separates, stacks, and carries materials, supplies, and packages, weighing up to 40 pounds or more.
• Assists with repairs, testing, and adjustments on electrical power plants and substations as well as overhead and underground primary electrical distribution systems.
• Contributes to the application of the organization's Quality Program, identifies deficiencies, and makes recommendations for improvements in work processes.
