Job Description:
Pay Range: $20/hr - $24/hr
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate mechanical systems such as HVAC, boilers, fans, generators, electrical switchgear, and ATS.
- Perform general carpentry, painting, flooring, office furniture moves, and spot cleaning as needed.
- Ensure employee safety through safety and compliance inspections of the entire building, identifying corrective maintenance needs for equipment and fixtures (fire equipment, elevators, generators).
- Change light bulbs and ballasts, ceiling tiles, and replace carpet tiles as necessary.
- Adjust or move furniture as required.
- Monitor conference room furnishings, including inventory management, cleaning whiteboards, and checking that supplies, phones, and lights are operational.
- Perform general grounds cleaning and tidying.
- Assist with company event setup and teardown.
- Support janitorial services as needed.
- Perform moderate to heavy lifting, package/mail delivery, and hanging pictures.
- Possess knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
- Perform snow removal duties.
Qualifications:
- Basic oral and written communication skills.
- Organized, neat, and clean.
- Basic analytical skills to recognize problems and potential solutions.
- Customer-focused with diligence and a sense of urgency.
- Basic computer skills, including typing and email communication.
- Technical skills in drywall repair, painting, light electrical work, landscaping, light plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or trade school certification is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in general maintenance.
- Experience in facilities/property management, commercial real estate, or professional services industries.
- Ability to make independent decisions with limited supervision.
- Dependable, cooperative, with attention to detail.
