Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety and reliability of a medical facility. This on-site role follows a Monday–Friday day shift and requires participation in an essential on-call rotation to ensure continuous support.

You will troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and building systems, with duties spanning inspections, repairs, and general maintenance to keep operations running smoothly for patient care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school option with relevant experience accepted.
  • 1–2 years of related work experience preferred; driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift, stand, bend, climb stairs/ ladders; operate in an on-site facility.
  • Strong organizational and basic reading/comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Handle general maintenance including plumbing, painting, bulb replacement, and fixture cleaning.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review work orders and coordinate with systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management and ensure systems run efficiently.
  • Inspect installations for code and safety compliance.

About the Role

As a CBRE Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll be integral to upholding the high standards of a medical client's environment, directly contributing to patient safety and operational excellence. This isn't just a job; it's a vital role ensuring a safe, reliable, and meticulously maintained facility, where your efforts allow critical healthcare services to flourish without interruption. This is an onsite, Monday-Friday day shift position, requiring participation in an essential on-call rotation to guarantee continuous support.

In this dynamic role, you will apply your expertise across a diverse range of building systems, performing essential troubleshooting, rapid repairs, and proactive preventive maintenance. Your keen eye and skilled hands will keep complex operations running seamlessly, delivering the high-quality service and dependable support our medical client relies on every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Perform general building maintenance, including plumbing repairs, painting, light bulb replacement, and fixture cleaning.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
