Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Madison, WI seeks a General Maintenance Mechanic responsible for routine maintenance across systems furniture, mechanical equipment, and facilities. You will perform assembly, repairs, preventative tasks, and respond to equipment alarms while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and the ability to read schematics, operate CMMS and Microsoft Office, and work overtime/on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with office furniture systems preferred but not required.
• Current state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must have flexibility to work overtime and be included in the on-call rotation.
• Able to use hand tools, test equipment and read schematics.
• Able to understand basic systems operations, respond to equipment alarms, and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Must be able to use personal computers, building automation systems, CMMS, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to effectively communicate to management and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to C&W Services site safety program and safe work practices.
• Respond to MAC Coordinator requests.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and work orders are completed on schedule.
• Assist in relocating boxes and furniture components.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform workstation cleaning for moves and requests.
