Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing superior service and performing various types of maintenance work, including:

• Electrical
• HVAC
• Carpentry
• Painting
• Mechanical

This highly skilled position requires a general knowledge of these specialties, with expertise in one or more areas. Currently, we are seeking an HVAC technician and encourage qualified applicants to apply.

Note: These functions illustrate typical work performed in this role and are not all-inclusive.

• Maintains and repairs refrigerator equipment, boilers, and electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Fabricates, repairs, and maintains mechanical devices, motors, and pumps throughout the property.
• Assists in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.
• Responds to maintenance requests to ensure courteous, timely, and expert service.
• Assists in installing, removing, or relocating electronic equipment per priorities.
• Performs structural repairs, painting, and wall preparations to ensure proper operation and standards.
• Conducts preventative maintenance on electronic equipment, fire alarms, surveillance, and satellite systems.
• Performs maintenance painting and carpentry to meet specifications.
• Assists Facilities Maintenance Engineers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Candidates typically possess at least three (3) years of related engineering experience and/or an AA Degree. Supervisory experience is preferred.

• Ability to maintain all required regulatory licenses for the state of employment
• Successful background check and drug screening

Ability To

• Work in environments with varying temperatures, vibrations, noise, crowds, and smoke, depending on customer volume.
• Work at heights such as lampposts, parking structures, and enclosed areas like boiler rooms and attics.
• Handle hazards from tools, testing equipment, and electrical shocks.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions with appropriate clothing.
• Communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels.
