Job summary

Kimberly-Clark's Warren, OH facility is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and fine-tune high-speed, advanced machinery in a 1.5 million-square-foot operation that serves millions daily.

In a safety‑focused HPWS culture, you will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on site infrastructure, utilize CMMS to complete work orders, and support installation, projects, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • 2+ years in Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical or Mechanical Tech with 3+ years facilities maintenance in manufacturing.
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams and manuals.
  • Experience with CMMS and preventative maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and building systems.
  • Inspect and repair HVAC, compressed air, water, fire protection, lighting, electrical distribution, dock equipment, BAS and related systems.
  • Monitor utilities for energy efficiency and complete CMMS work orders.
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment history; support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance and participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

In the role of our Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will:
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and building systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain:
    • HVAC and air handling systems
    • Compressed air systems
    • Chilled water and cooling systems
    • Domestic water and sanitary systems
    • Fire protection and sprinkler systems
    • Lighting systems
    • Building electrical distribution (within qualifications)
    • Dock equipment and overhead doors
    • Roof drainage systems
    • Facility plumbing
    • Building automation systems (BAS)
  • Monitor utility systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Complete work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment history accurately.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Project management - Coordinate with contractors performing specialized maintenance or construction activities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
  • Support emergency response efforts for facility-related issues.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate.
  • 2+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology AND 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing facility.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Experience using CMMS software.
  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening
  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in large manufacturing facilities (500,000+ square feet preferred).
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience up to 480V.
  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Experience with compressed air systems, chillers, cooling towers, and industrial utilities.
  • Forklift, aerial lift, and scissor lift certification.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies.

Starting Hourly Wage: $40.00USD

This position is eligible for the starting wage listed above, overtime pay and available pay increases within your first year.
