Overview
Facilities Maintenance Technician position located in Warren, OH at Kimberly‑Clark. You will inspect, repair, and maintain high‑speed, technologically advanced machines in a facility that produces top‑notch products for a quarter of the world’s population.
As a member of the High‑Performance Work System, you will help maintain building infrastructure, utilities, and support systems for a 1.5‑million‑square‑foot manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and building systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and air‑handling systems, compressed air systems, chilled water and cooling systems, domestic water and sanitary systems, fire protection and sprinkler systems, lighting systems, building electrical distribution (within qualifications), dock equipment and overhead doors, roof drainage systems, facility plumbing, and building automation systems (BAS).
- Monitor utility systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Complete work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment history accurately.
- Support installation and commissioning of new facility equipment and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with contractors performing specialized maintenance or construction activities.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
- Support emergency response efforts for facility‑related issues.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Grade 12 certificate).
- 2+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical Technology, or Mechanical Technology and 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing facility.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Experience using CMMS software.
- Pass a pre‑employment assessment and a pre‑employment drug and background screening.
- Pass a post‑offer / pre‑hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
- Employment is subject to verification of local policies and of pre‑screening tests, which may include drug screening, background check, and DMV check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large manufacturing facilities (500,000+ square feet).
- Electrical troubleshooting experience up to 480V.
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Experience with compressed air systems, chillers, cooling towers, and industrial utilities.
- Forklift, aerial lift, and scissor lift certification.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies.

Starting hourly wage: $40.00USD. Overtime pay and pay increases are available within the first year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) and profit‑sharing plan.
