Position Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for routine building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and more. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Facilities Supervisor. The ideal candidate will proactively identify issues, communicate effectively, and perform maintenance duties such as plumbing, electrical, access control, and HVAC repairs.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay: $18.50 - $22.50/hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm
• Location: Near 290/Beltway 8

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Coordinate with facilities management for specialized work
• Respond to mechanical or maintenance reports
• Use tools and supplies to complete tasks
• Proficiently handle instruments and tools required for maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of facilities maintenance experience
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking
• Ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs., and use ladders
