Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine building maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Facilities Supervisor and operates on a 6am–3pm schedule, Monday through Friday, at the S Loop E/Martin Luther King Blvd location in Houston.

• High school education or equivalent.
• 2 years of working experience in facilities maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented.
• Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
• Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs. and climb onto ladders.

Job Description

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician who is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position, reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 6am to 3pm.
