Job summary

ABM is seeking a Maintenance Lead to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC equipment and to coordinate day-to-day activities on assigned agreements or projects. You will ensure contractual commitments are met in a timely, cost-effective manner and lead a team when supervisors are present.

The role requires at least 1 year of HVAC or mechanical technician experience and prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess valid, unexpired driver's license.
• High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent is required.
• One year of HVAC or mechanical technician experience is preferred.
• One year of lead or supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs HVAC equipment as assigned.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities for specific agreements or projects to meet contractual commitments.
• Maintain records of technical knowledge regarding equipment and concepts.
• Inform customer when arriving/leaving and planning to return.
• Manage workload and scheduling; complete paperwork accurately and timely.

The Maintenance Lead troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs HVAC and related equipment as assigned, and assumes day-to-day coordination of specific agreements or projects as assigned to ensure contractual commitments are met in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Compensation: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour pay rate (U.S. Dollars)

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of technical knowledge regarding equipment and concepts
• Handle heavy workload of calls
• Inform customer when arriving at or leaving the job and when planning to return
• Manage workload and job scheduling
• Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork
• Obtain customer signature on all service reports (before work begins when performing spot jobs)
• Keep manager informed of customer feedback
• Communicate effectively and promptly
• Provide technical training and knowledge as needed to client, customer and team
• Collaborate with and across multiple departments and representatives within the Company
• When the Supervisor is present, the lead worker may also be responsible for directing smaller work groups
• Report team performance issues to the Supervisor
