Job summary

YWCA Greater Harrisburg seeks a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities and grounds. The role coordinates preventive maintenance, manages repairs and improvement projects, and ensures a safe, welcoming environment for staff, clients, residents, and visitors.

Hours are 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm) with some on-call; salary is $45,000/yr. Candidate should have 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, strong building systems knowledge, and

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and grounds maintenance.
• Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, ADA, fire codes, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving history.
• Must provide Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances.

Responsibilities

• Monitor repairs and maintenance of building equipment and systems (HVAC, water, electric, emergency generators, fire alarms, etc.).
• Review facilities to meet building codes and standards and secure permits, licenses, and inspections.
• Assist with contractor quotes as directed.
• Ensure YWCA facilities and equipment provide a quality, safe environment.
• Complete work orders for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate and monitor regular inspections of the facility (including fire alarms, safety equipment, elevators, etc.) to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and compliance checks.
• Coordinate and conduct landscaping and groundskeeping activities, including lawn care, snow removal, and trash disposal.
• Ensure proper maintenance of outdoor equipment and fixtures (e.g., parking lots, signage, lighting).

The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time FacilityMaintenance Technicianto oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of our facilities and grounds. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring our buildings remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for staff, clients, residents, and visitors. Position Details:
