Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance within an industrial or commercial setting.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Safety training with ability to communicate procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, piping, and instrumentation diagrams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Demonstrated technical ability in HVAC and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, diagnose, and repair critical industrial facilities equipment (boilers, pumps, chillers, HVAC, air compressors, cryogenic and chemical systems).
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Install, repair, and upgrade infrastructure equipment with safety and code compliance.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and electrical systems and perform repairs to prevent failures.
• Monitor subcontractors and ensure their work meets facility standards and safety protocols.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability.

What to ExpectAs a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial facilities equipment. This role involves hands-on work across a wide range of systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical. You will be expected to perform both preventative and emergency maintenance, diagnose and repair complex systems, and ensure the overall safety and reliability of the facility’s infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse responsibilities that keep the facility running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

Maintain, operate, diagnose, and repair critical industrial facilities equipment, such as boilers, pumps, chillers, HVAC systems, air compressors, cryogenic and chemical systems, ensuring continuous and efficient operationPerform thorough preventative and corrective maintenance on various facilities systems to minimize and avoid equipment downtimeInstall, repair, and upgrade infrastructure equipment, including ductwork, piping, and electrical wiring, ensuring all installations meet safety and operational standardsConduct regular inspections of mechanical and electrical systems, identifying potential issues and performing necessary repairs to prevent system failuresMonitor and oversee subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with facility standards and safety protocolsSupport the continuous improvement of facility operations by proactively identifying opportunities for enhancing system performance and reliability
