FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks across various fields such as carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general cleaning. Tasks include repairing, maintaining equipment, cleaning, and preparing facilities for use or events.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Paint, remodel, and refurbish areas as needed
• Repair and maintain all equipment and amenities
• Clean windows, glass doors, and other surfaces
• Change HVAC filters as required
• Prepare classrooms and living quarters for use, including furniture rearrangement and extermination
• Manage waste disposal and recycling
• Oversee facility cleanliness and exterior property maintenance
• Perform on-call maintenance as needed, 24/7
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards, including graffiti removal and disinfecting surfaces
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to multitask
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions

Pay Rate: $13.00/hr
