Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania Elizabethtown Campus is immediately hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This full-time, day-shift role (7am–3pm) offers pay ranging from $18.51/hr to $24.35/hr based on experience.

You will perform building and grounds maintenance to keep campus facilities safe and functional, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing work, equipment maintenance, CMMS documentation, and occasional on-call duties for emergencies and winter snow operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of masonry, carpentry, building maintenance, painting and basic excavation equipment operation.
• 1+ years' experience in two or more trades preferred.
• Vocational/technical training beneficial.
• PA Driver's License required.
• Strong written, oral, organizational and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks to maintain facilities.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and evaluate building systems and equipment.
• Install and repair major systems (heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing).
• Perform preventive maintenance and document work orders in CMMS.
• Assist with demolition/renovation tasks and with other trades as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and support weekend/holiday calls as scheduled.
• Manage snow operations including plowing, salting, and shoveling.

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Elizabethtown Campus - is immediately hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

What You Will Do As a Facilities Maintenance Technician

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing building and grounds maintenance duties to maintain Masonic Village buildings, properties, grounds and roadways. Our Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the following:

• The demonstrated general knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills to perform facility maintenance work as required.
• General knowledge of OSHA, local, state and federal regulations; applicable building, electrical, plumbing and other trade codes and regulatory standards and requirements in performance of all duties.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and evaluates all equipment and systems assigned including but not limited to; heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Assists in the installation and major repair of this equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment including testing and maintaining of electrical equipment and devices. Assists outside contractors in their work relating to preventive maintenance of major systems and equipment including but not limited to chillers, major air handlers, fire protection, elevators and other systems on contracted maintenance.
• Performs demolition and renovation duties as assigned, including but not limited to; appliances, shelving, cabinets, doors, lighting and plumbing fixtures.
• Assists all other trades in the execution of their daily activities.
• Be available for emergency calls as required and or weekend/holiday on call duty as indicated by schedule, maintaining availability to accept Switchboard calls and to respond to make repairs or provide help as necessary.
• Performs all aspects of snow operations on campus by plowing, equipment operations, salting, cindering, shoveling during winter weather conditions including off hours call-in.
• Completes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) generated work orders and provides clear documentation of work as required. Generates work orders for additional work or tasks identified in the field and completes or submits them as appropriate.
  
  

What You Need As a Facilities Maintenance Technician

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• A basic working knowledge of masonry, carpentry, building maintenance, painting and operation of basic excavation equipment.
• One or more years' experience in two or more of the above trades is preferred.
• Vocational or technical school training is beneficial.
• Have a current and valid PA Drivers License
• Good written, oral, organizational, and computer skills.
