Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania is hiring an Experienced Housekeeper for full-time evening shifts (2pm-10pm) in Montgomery County. The position supports a Mission of Love, delivering high-quality environmental housekeeping to residents in a caring, safe setting.

Pay starts at $17/hr and includes comprehensive benefits for full-time staff. Responsibilities include maintaining clean rooms and common areas, using cleaning agents safely, assisting with laundry, and helping residents with moves

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in long-term care or hospitality.
• Ability to walk 6-7 hours/day; stand for 1-4 hours; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver License.
• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment in residents' rooms and common areas.
• Uses appropriate cleaning agents safely and in line with regulations.
• Assists with laundry as needed by supervisor.
• Completes housekeeping duties in a timely manner and maintains floors, fixtures, and furnishings.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment as trained.
• Provides residents with information and assistance during moves or room changes.
• Cleans vacated rooms and reports findings to supervisors.
• Executes special setup tasks for events and assists with snow removal as directed.

As an Experienced Housekeeper, you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing the best quality environmental housekeeping service, through continuous training, to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.

Our Experienced Housekeeper is responsible for the following:

• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment by performing housekeeping duties as assigned. Inspects, monitors, cleans, and maintains resident rooms, indoor and outdoor common areas, employee service areas, sidewalks and driveways. Reports upon first notice any environmental situation which could pose a threat to the safety or well-being of the Masonic Village Residents.
• Uses chemicals and cleaning agents safely and effectively to accomplish assigned tasks in accordance with environmental services regulations established by federal, state, local and private accreditation organizations.
• Assists with Laundry duties as needed and directed by supervisor.
• Completes housekeeping duties in a timely manner as assigned by supervisor, including picking up and disposing of trash, maintaining flooring, moving and maintaining furniture and appliances, and maintaining light fixtures.
• Uses housekeeping equipment in a safe and effective manner as trained by supervisor. Performs routine minor equipment maintenance to ensure all equipment remains in a clean and operable condition. Maintains specialized equipment, such as buffers, extractors, pressure washers, as applicable.
• Provides residents with information and directions when moving in or transferring to another room or building. Assists residents with packing, unpacking, storing, and moving personal belongings. Assists residents in resolving concerns as they arise.
• Assists with cleaning of resident rooms upon vacancy. Removes all personal belongings and trash from vacated units. Inspects condition of vacated units and reports findings to Housekeeping and Maintenance supervisors.
• Completes special projects as assigned by supervisor, including setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, etc. for special occasions. Assists with removing snow and ice as directed by supervisor. Picks up and delivers equipment, supplies, furniture, etc. for residents, activities, and Masonic Village function(s).

What You Need as an Experience Housekeeper:

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience in long-term care or hospitality required .
• Ability to walk for up to 6-7 hours/day; 1 to 4 hours at a time. Stands for 1-2 hours/day; 0 to 1 hours at a time. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and Frequent pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver License.
• Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
