Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Elizabethtown Campus is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain buildings, grounds and roadways in a hands-on role. You will perform carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks and support safety standards while responding to on-call needs.

Requirements include a high school diploma and experience in two or more trades; a PA driver's license is required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off in a full-time daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic working knowledge of masonry, carpentry, building maintenance, painting and operation of basic excavation equipment.
• One or more years' experience in two or more trades is preferred.
• PA Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, properties, grounds and roadways and perform facility maintenance work.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with major system overhauls.
• Complete CMMS work orders and document work performed.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call needs, including winter snow operations.

Pay: $18.51/hr to $24.35/hr (Based on experience)

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Elizabethtown Campus - is immediately hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

What You Will Do As a Facilities Maintenance Technician

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing building and grounds maintenance duties to maintain Masonic Village buildings, properties, grounds and roadways. Our Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the following:

• The demonstrated general knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills to perform facility maintenance work as required.
• General knowledge of OSHA, local, state and federal regulations; applicable building, electrical, plumbing and other trade codes and regulatory standards and requirements in performance of all duties.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and evaluates all equipment and systems assigned including but not limited to; heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Assists in the installation and major repair of this equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment including testing and maintaining of electrical equipment and devices. Assists outside contractors in their work relating to preventive maintenance of major systems and equipment including but not limited to chillers, major air handlers, fire protection, elevators and other systems on contracted maintenance.
• Performs demolition and renovation duties as assigned, including but not limited to; appliances, shelving, cabinets, doors, lighting and plumbing fixtures.
• Assists all other trades in the execution of their daily activities.
• Be available for emergency calls as required and or weekend/holiday on call duty as indicated by schedule, maintaining availability to accept Switchboard calls and to respond to make repairs or provide help as necessary.
• Performs all aspects of snow operations on campus by plowing, equipment operations, salting, cindering, shoveling during winter weather conditions including off hours call-in.
• Completes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) generated work orders and provides clear documentation of work as required. Generates work orders for additional work or tasks identified in the field and completes or submits them as appropriate.

What You Need As a Facilities Maintenance Technician

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• A basic working knowledge of masonry, carpentry, building maintenance, painting and operation of basic excavation equipment.
• One or more years' experience in two or more of the above trades is preferred.
• Vocational or technical school training is beneficial.
• Have a current and valid PA Drivers License
• Good written, oral, organizational, and computer skills.
