Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Warminster Campus is immediately hiring a General Maintenance Worker to maintain a clean, safe environment. This full-time day shift (7am–3pm) offers starting pay of $20/hour, based on experience, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic working knowledge of masonry, carpentry, building maintenance, painting and operation of equipment and vehicles.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• One year maintenance experience or education in two or more trades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment by performing maintenance duties as assigned.
• Use chemicals and cleaning agents safely and effectively per regulations.
• Perform minor repairs in carpentry, drywall, painting and related duties.
• Maintain and repair building interiors, exteriors, driveways, walkways and grounds; conduct preventive maintenance.
• Winter maintenance including plowing, salting and cindering; on-call availability for off-hour needs.
• Set up and breakdown for events; move and deliver equipment and supplies.
• Assist in maintenance of company vehicles.

As a General Maintenance Worker, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing the best possible maintenance service, through continuous training, to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.

Our General Maintenance Worker Is Responsible For The Following

• Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment by performing maintenance duties as assigned. Reports upon first notice any environmental situation which could pose a threat to the safety or well-being of the Masonic Village Residents.
• Carries out general maintenance duties and uses chemicals and cleaning agents safely and effectively to accomplish assigned tasks in accordance with environmental services regulations established by federal, state, local and private accreditation organizations.
• Implements universal precautions during performance of assigned duties.
• Performs general maintenance services according to established procedures as directed by supervisor.
• Performs minor repairs, cleaning, reconditioning and construction using stone, brick, block and concrete for buildings, walls and surfaces including the maintenance of pointing. Performs carpentry, drywall, plaster, painting, and related duties.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, evaluates, and repairs building interiors, exteriors, driveways, walkways, and general grounds. Performs preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintains walkways and roadways during winter weather conditions by plowing, salting, and cindering. Maintains availability for off hour call-in as needed. Maintains lawns, shrubs, gardens, and trees.
• Performs maintenance activities in a clean and orderly manner to ensure a safe work place. Ensures the proper use and care of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Completes special projects as assigned by supervisor, including setup and breakdown of chairs, tables, etc. for special occasions. Picks up, moves, and delivers equipment, supplies, furniture, etc. for residents, activities, and Masonic Village functions.
• Assists in maintenance of company vehicles.

What You Need As a General Maintenance Worker

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A basic working knowledge of masonry, carpentry, building maintenance, painting and operation of equipment and vehicles.
• One year maintenance experience or education in two or more of the above trades is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
