Job summary

Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling in Downey, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including disassembly, reassembly, calibration, and repair of equipment in the warehouse.

This full-time night shift runs Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00pm–5:30am, with an hourly rate of $40.74 and a benefits package covering union, medical, dental, vision, retirement, and vacation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 0–2 years related experience.
• Electrical certification or vocational certification preferred.
• Experience maintaining mechanical and electrical systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems in the warehouse.
• Disassemble, reassemble, calibrate, and repair equipment.
• Maintain and inspect electrical systems; lay out and overhaul machinery.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust components; inspect parts for defects.
• Record repairs, parts used, and requisition new parts; perform other duties.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to include disassembly, reassembly, and calibration


• Administer a wide variety of methods, procedures, and techniques to lay out, install, overhaul and maintain various types of machines encompassing mechanical and electrical systems


• Clean and lubricate equipment and machinery and adjust and examine parts for defects in the warehouse


• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, handle boiler blow downs, and record readings of critical operating parameters as the technician


• Records repairs, maintenance, parts, materials used, and orders or requisitions new parts and materials


• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 0 to 2 years of related experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Electrical Certification or Vocational Certification
