Your Contribution

As aFacilities Maintenance Technician reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain test stands and plant or facility equipment according to established procedures and processes, and all applicable Health & Safety standards

This role is responsible to:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain physical plant and facility equipment such as chilled water system, low pressure boiler, compressed air systems and HVAC building systems.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of plant and facilities equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during machine service.
• Manage and perform facility equipment improvement projects. Work with outside contractors to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of process and building systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints to perform required maintenance and service.
• Build various test stand arrangements and/or sub-assemblies relative to compressor testing; including HVAC modules, line-sets, various connections.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance, electrical repairs, carpentry functions and other building maintenance tasks such as painting and lighting maintenance.
• Maintain and make repairs on test stands of various types; including cleaning condensers, repair leaks, troubleshoot mechanical controls
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual inspections as required on plant and facilities systems and safeguards.
• Shipping of scrap and waste.
• Coordinate services of outside contractors.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, HVAC or industrial maintenance or 10 years of professional experience
• Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintain high levels of productivity.
• Hands-On mechanical aptitude
• Industrial HVAC repair and troubleshooting preferred
• Knowledge of EPA, DOT regulations preferred
• Knowledgeable with MS Office applications
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
