Job summary

Velociti Services is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support daily building maintenance and basic janitorial needs at our Kingman location. As the sole on-site maintenance employee, this individual must work independently, prioritize requests, and handle a variety of general repairs and upkeep tasks.

The ideal candidate brings a broad range of hands-on maintenance skills, takes initiative, and recognizes when a repair requires a specialized contractor.

Qualifications

• Two years of general building maintenance or related hands-on experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of minor plumbing repairs, painting, carpentry, and general facility upkeep.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to perform both maintenance and basic janitorial duties.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through on tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Recognize issues requiring management approval or specialized contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building repairs, including minor plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall patching, and door/hardware adjustments.
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, filters, fixtures, and other routine components.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and communicate larger repairs to management.
• Coordinate access for approved vendors and contractors and follow up on work.
• Complete basic janitorial duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash, restrooms, breakrooms, restocking supplies.
• Maintain entrances, walkways, and surrounding areas clean and debris-free.
• Maintain inventory of tools, maintenance materials, and cleaning supplies.
• Track completed work and supply needs.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Communicate professionally with client, management, and occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general building repairs, including minor plumbing, basic carpentry, drywall patching, painting, and door and hardware adjustments.
• Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, filters, fixtures, and other routine building components within training and authorization.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address repair needs.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and communicate larger repairs or specialized service needs to management.
• Coordinate access for approved vendors and contractors and follow up on work completion.
• Complete basic janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms and breakrooms, and restocking supplies.
• Keep entrances, walkways, and surrounding areas clean and free of debris.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, maintenance materials, and cleaning supplies.
• Track completed work, outstanding repairs, and supply needs.
• Follow safety procedures, use appropriate protective equipment, and maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Communicate professionally with the client, management, and building occupants.

• Ability to safely use ladders and move tools, supplies, and materials.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with assistance or equipment as appropriate.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
