Job summary

Stellar Health Group seeks a Maintenance Assistant to support daily building, grounds and equipment upkeep in our facilities.

You will inspect and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, perform routine maintenance, assist with event setup, and help with cleaning and landscape tasks while following health and safety standards.

Committed to safety and reliability, you will communicate issues to supervisors and maintain repair supplies to ensure smooth operations for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and facility maintenance.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the inspection of buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, etc
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including moving and arranging furniture
• Conduct minor building, HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs
• Assist with the daily cleaning of the facilities, including sweeping, mopping and trash removal
• Help with landscape maintenance, including mowing grass, trimming hedges and shoveling snow
• Follow all health and safety regulations and practices on every job
• Maintain inventory of repair supplies and materials
• Communicate with supervisors about unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or supplies needed
