Polar Semiconductor, LLC in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform repair and preventive maintenance on ultrapure water and pH plants, compressed air systems, chiller and boiler plants, and other HVAC equipment. You will support production by maintaining systems for peak performance and minimal downtime.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, adherence to engineering specs, and the ability to work with hazardous chemicals while wearing protective gear.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years vocational training and at least 10 years on-the-job experience.
• Knowledge of ultrapure water treatment systems.
• General mechanical aptitude and systems troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial waste discharge and hazardous waste management programs.
• Ability to lift up to 80lbs on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventative maintenance on ultrapure water, pH, compressed air, chiller, boiler and HVAC systems.

## Facilities Maintenance TechnicianApply: Bloomington, MN, USA: Full time: Posted Yesterday: R3795**Summary**Perform repair and preventative maintenance procedures on all Facilities systems to include ultrapure water plant, pH plant, Compressed air systems, Chiller plant, Boiler plant and other HVAC systems. Support production by maintaining the equipment for optimal performance and minimal disruption. **Responsibilities:*** Operate and maintain all plant systems according to engineering specification. Assist in developing strategies to improve the operation of the plant. Act as primary point of contact for Facilities maintenance issues and requests.* Act in a self-directed fashion to complete all PMs and work duties as assigned by the automated system and the Facilities Lead Technician.* Maintain piece part and operational inventories to ensure continuous operation of all physical plant systems.* Ensure that all preventative maintenance and safety related tasks are completed on time.* Assist in maintaining a clean and organized facility.* Support company initiatives, such as; quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment.* Daily work in a waterplant area, frequently wearing chemical protective garments and personal protective equipment in performance of daily activities.* Frequent daily exposure to hazardous chemicals/materials, odors, and loud noises.
