Job summary

Hollywood Casino Bangor is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs, maintenance, and installation of machinery and building systems to ensure continuous, safe operation of the property. The role requires basic math, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities include supporting HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, submitting expenditure requests, and assisting with grounds, sanitation, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months related experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word).
• Must read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required; driving record may be checked.

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, tools, equipment and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property
• Maintains and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and water distribution; supports safe operations
• Submits requests for expenditures for repairs, upkeep, and improvement to the Director of Facilities
• Directly or indirectly supports exterior grounds activities, sanitation, and safety compliance
• Performs Grand Stand maintenance activities and related infrastructure

• Performs scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, tools, equipment and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property
• Performs scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, tools, equipment and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property
• Performs preventative maintenance in conjunction with all building maintenance and/or cleanliness related items
• Submits requests for expenditures associated with repairs, upkeep, and improvement to the Director of Facilities
• Directly or indirectly supports all exterior grounds activities, including snow removal, grass cutting, landscaping, the parking garage and other exterior area needs
• Supports all sanitation processes and procedures including rodent and pest control
• Performs painting, structural repairs, masonry, woodwork, wallpaper and treatments, and furnishings of buildings
• Performs all Grand Stand maintenance activities
• Directly or indirectly supports the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and water distribution, including fire suppression and sewerage facilities
• Accounting for OSHA compliance at Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway. Will be an active participant of Safety compliance
• Implements and monitors controls designed to assure full compliance with all federal, state, corporate and property laws, policies and/or mandates
• Must be able to interact effectively and positively across departmental lines
• Must be a team player
• Limited supervisory requirements as assigned
• Other duties may be assigned

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent and/or six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communicating skills
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state in which you reside. In addition to the pre‑employment background check, this position will be subject to periodic checks of your driving record in order to determine your continued suitability to drive company and/or patron vehicles
