Job summary

MaineGeneral Health System is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across our facility infrastructure. The role involves assisting with installation, testing, maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and systems on a scheduled basis, and performing utility and structural repairs as needed.

Responsibilities also include keeping installation records, inventorying parts, maintaining grounds, and possibly operating a vehicle for MaineGeneral Health

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems, structures and grounds throughout the facility.
• Assists with installation, testing, maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external trades persons.
• Maintains records of installations. Takes inventory of repair parts and supplies.
• Performs maintenance of grounds as needed and scheduled.
• Some employees in this job may operate a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business.
