Job summary

Walmart Owensboro is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to uphold safety, functionality, and aesthetics of store facilities and equipment. You will perform routine maintenance under supervision and use multiple crafts to complete tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a HS diploma or technical certs, the ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and pass a driving record check. This full-time position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple crafts.
• Receive and document repair work orders and support stores and associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete training to operate equipment safely.
