Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce in Gainesville, GA seeks a Building Maintenance Technician II - Correctional Officer to supervise and perform skilled carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and painting work to keep County buildings maintained.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 3 years carpentry/building maintenance, a valid Class C Driver’s License and POST certification (or ability to qualify within 6 months).

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED; ability to read and write.
• Three years carpentry and building maintenance experience.
• Current POST Certification (or ability to qualify within 6 months of hire).
• Valid Class C Driver’s License and a satisfactory MVR.
• Knowledge of HVAC operations and building maintenance; ability to read plans and blueprints.

Responsabilidades

• Landscape tasks using inmate crew: mowing, edging, leaf collection, and similar duties.
• Perform preventative maintenance: HVAC filter changes, belt checks, lubrication, and unit checklists.
• Electrical: replace interior/exterior bulbs; use lifts/scaffolding for high ceilings.
• Check lighting timers and photonic controls for proper operation.
• Plumbing: inspect fixtures for leaks and note deficiencies.
• Seasonal: gutter/downspout cleaning; check for roof leaks.
• General: complete tasks on daily checklists and report deficiencies.
• Carpentry: general repair or light construction; drywall repair/finishing.
• Painting: repair office furniture and surfaces.
• Concrete: form, pour and finish concrete.
• Replace or repair doors, locks, and windows; repair roof leaks.
