Job summary

The City of Harrisburg is seeking a Laborer II in the Facilities Maintenance Office to perform routine cleaning, grounds work, and snow removal for City Government buildings. Responsibilities include statue cleaning outside the MLK Jr. Building and using various cleaning tools. Reports to the Janitorial Supervisor.

Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of janitorial experience. Positions are full-time with a strong benefits package and pension plan.

• Experience operating and maintaining commercial cleaning equipment.
• Able to work in various building areas with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and trash removal in City Government buildings.
• Clean restrooms daily and maintain safety standards.
• Perform grounds work and ice/snow removal as directed.
• Assist in cleaning statues outside the MLK Jr. Building.
• Operate cleaning equipment and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Maintain regular attendance and professional conduct.
