Job summary

Inotiv RTP is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to maintain and repair facility systems, coordinate third-party service providers, and support regulatory compliance across the site. You will ensure safe, reliable operation of building infrastructure and equipment while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to urgent needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in general facilities maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Equivalent combinations of education, apprenticeship, and maintenance experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facilities maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and minor installations across RTP locations.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and inspections.
• Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers; act as site representative.
• Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure safe, compliant operation.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation in facility management systems.
• Assist with office relocations, workspace installations, and event setup.
• Research solutions, obtain vendor quotes, and support capital projects.
• Monitor expenditures and manage approved facility-related purchases.
• Partner with site leadership to address facility needs and communicate project status.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.
