Job summary

Front Porch is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support the maintenance, operation, and safety of the facility. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, painting, minor carpentry, and equipment repairs across resident apartments and common areas.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and work orders.
• Willingness to work on-call and may require living on site depending on community needs.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and plumbing.
• Tests electrical equipment and systems; diagnoses issues and performs repairs.
• Dismantles defective equipment and installs repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates machinery components and performs routine maintenance.
• Performs plumbing repairs and maintenance; may involve masonry work.
• Responds to work orders for apartments and common areas.
• Assists with special events by setting up equipment and moving supplies.
• Inspects emergency equipment and ensures safety systems are functional.
• Keeps records of work performed and assists in preventative maintenance planning.
