Job summary

Front Porch is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for full-time, day shift in San Francisco, CA. The role handles electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

You will perform inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance across machinery and building systems. Qualifications include 2–4 years related experience and/or training, high school education preferred, and ability to read safety and operating manuals.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not required.
• Two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Willingness to be on-call to respond to maintenance and resident emergencies; on-site living may be required.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect electrical equipment and perform repairs as needed.
• Dismantle and repair defective machinery and components.
• Repair plumbing, painting, and minor carpentry as required.
• Maintain and restore physical facility structures and equipment.
• Respond to work orders for apartments and common areas; coordinate with vendors.
• Assist in training new maintenance staff and follow safety procedures.
