Job summary

Westgate Park City Resort & Spa in Park City, UT is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 to join a dynamic maintenance team. The role supports preventive maintenance, repairs, and guest-focused service with a shifting schedule from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, basic upkeep, and troubleshooting across facilities and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and appliance work, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on trades & maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
• Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be energetic, self-motivated, and expressive with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills are essential for fostering positive relationships with both guests and peers.
• Able to adapt to various situations, thrive under pressure, and deliver results within designated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering and maintenance projects assigned by resort leadership with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep resort facilities and equipment running at their best.
• Complete basic upkeep tasks such as painting, caulking, and repairing wall damage.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues involving toilets, tubs, jacuzzis, showers, faucets, and sinks.
• Reset breakers and GFCIs, replace bulbs, and use voltage‑testing tools for basic electrical needs.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot TVs, remotes, and related electronics.
• Diagnose and repair appliances, replace minor parts, and assist with full appliance swaps.
• Support procurement and inventory efforts to ensure materials and tools are readily available.
• Use resort systems and software (including HotSOS) for communication and work reporting.
• Follow all safety protocols, identify hazards proactively, and help maintain a safe environment.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
