Job summary

American Furniture Warehouse seeks a Building Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our facilities, supporting store operations with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, drywall, electrical work, and general repairs. Experience in construction and a technical degree/certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders within the allotted time.
• Assist with building rehab projects including drywall, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Assist managers with daily duties and communications.
• Maintain property interiors, exteriors, and landscaping.
• Stock and maintain the shop area.
• Plan maintenance projects and oversee completion.
• Schedule and perform repairs including preventative maintenance.
• Prepare and submit required reports promptly and accurately.
• Follow policies, procedures, PPE usage, and safety guidelines.
• Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
• May drive on company business and perform other duties.
